It’s back! Sufferfest 2023 registration will be open June 7th!! I will send out an email once it is official. Please click here to get into the registration page.

The camp will run over the course of two weeks, Monday – Friday. The first week will be July 17th – 21st, and the second from July 24th-28th. The current plan is to carry out two sessions each day. U12s will participate from 8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. and the U14-U19 crew will get after it from 12 p.m. – 3 p.m. Each Friday the plan is to group up and experience some hardship together. Fridays will run from 8:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.

SUFFERFEST is open to everyone and anyone born between 2005-2011. The goal is to get our current athletes ready for the season, as well as recruit new members to join The Revelstoke Ski Club.

Participants are responsible for bringing:

Snacks for the 3 hr session
Water for the whole day (min. 2L)
All required gear for a given day (for example bathing suit, towel, etc.) detailed packing lists will be provided by email prior to the camp
Weather-appropriate attire: sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, workout clothing, rain gear, etc.

We are changing gears a little bit from past Sufferfests and focusing our energy on getting stronger in a few different ways. We are lucky enough to have access to both Mountain Made – Crossfit and Trans-Canada for a couple of days. We will push ourselves in there and also incorporate an introduction to plyometrics and mobility, cold plunges, Basketball and Soccer, sprint training as well as a few more surprises.

As of right now, we will not be transporting athletes in the club van, so drop-off and pick-up locations will vary each day. This could change based on registration. You will be given a detailed schedule prior to the camp and emailed during the camp if there are any changes due to weather or other factors. Registration closes June 30th, so expect that schedule to be sent out immediately after that. Participants should be able to transport themselves by bike around town (not out to MacPherson, but to Williamson Lake, for example). They should also have some experience mountain biking (green trails at a minimum are fine).

All participants must listen to coaches’ directions at all times to ensure everyone’s safety. We are going to have a blast and I can’t wait to “suffer” with everyone!

Get ready, folks! The U14 Provincials are just around the corner, and it’s going to be one heck of an event. We’re talking two days of training on March 29th and 30th, followed by some thrilling races in GS on March 31st, SL on April 1st, and Dual on April 2nd.

This event is open to U14 female and male athletes from all over BC, and it’s all going down at RMR – one of our main sponsors. We couldn’t be more grateful for their continued support in hosting this exciting event.

But, as with any big event like this, we’re going to need a lot of volunteers to help make it all happen. If you’re interested in being a part of this amazing event and lending a hand, please sign up on Ivolunteer today https://revelstoke.ivolunteer.com/. We can’t do it without our dedicated volunteers, and we appreciate your help in advance.

So mark your calendars and get ready for some serious ski action. The U14 Provincials are going to be a blast, and we can’t wait to see all of our talented athletes on the slopes. Thanks again to our sponsors and volunteers for making it all possible. See you there!

We are excited to be hosting the North Okanagan NGSL Race on Sunday, February 5, 2023. This race will be open to our athletes in the Carvers program, U10 Extenders and U12 programs.

For kids, this is a fun race to get some timed runs in the gates and it is a first race for many!

For parents, this is a fun race to get involved in and no ski racing experience is necessary!! There are lots of on-hill and off-hill areas to get involved and we need as many parents as possible to make this race a success!! Click here to sign up https://revelstoke.ivolunteer.com/
